ATTENTION! Please sign up for both 21. and 22. March, as it is a continuous course where the sessions build on each other. Setting up an automatic sign-up for both sessions was unfortunately not possible. Learn the basics of sailing in one weekend! With theory lessons on campus in the mornings and sailing practice in the afternoon. Materials will be provided. In the theoretical sessions, we will cover: - The Boat: Boat types and boat anatomy - Wind: Physical principles - Courses: Points of sail, luffing, bearing away - Manoeuvres: Tacking & gybing, shooting up, person overboard - Right of way: Collision regulations - Nautical Nots In the afternoons, a 3-hour sailing session will take place. Here you can learn about: - Preparation of the boat - Safety on board - Crew coordination - our local sailing waters - Hands-on sailing practice
